Teal Mulvihill Obituary, Death Cause – One of our U18s, Teal Mulvihill, has passed away, and we are devastated to notify you of this news. Teal made the decision to end his own life, and this news comes to us with great sadness. Teal has been a member of our organisation ever since he was 12 years old and has been an integral part of the warriors and U18s young squad that has been directed by John (who has written a significant portion of the following section of the post).
Every practise and game was enhanced with an abundance of happiness, fun and laughing thanks to his presence. We have watched him mature from a young boy into a young man over the course of his time on the squad. Despite the challenges he faced, he was always kind and respectful to all of his teammates and the coaching staff (with the exception of Jona, with whom he engaged in frequent banter and taunting regarding his choice of football team).
A campaign to gather money in Teal’s honour has been created so that her family can get assistance with the expenses associated with her funeral and alleviate any financial strain that they may be experiencing. During this incredibly difficult time, our thoughts are with Teal’s family and friends, and we have requested that all teams hold a minute-long moment of applause in his honour before their upcoming matches.
My daughter’s best friend as well as a friend to all three of my son’s friends. Both my wife and I considered him to be a member of our larger family unit. Even though the squad was disbanded at the beginning of the year, I still referred to all of my former players as “my boys.” This is because of the special link that we as coaches have with our players.
