Susan Collins Obituary, Resident of Stamford, CT Has Died

Susan Collins Obituary, Death Cause – The family of Susan Albert Collins is announcing her passing on March 19, 2023, with heavy hearts due to the fact that she passed away on March 19. Marjorie (Julius) and Robert Smith Sr. welcomed their daughter Susan into the world on August 30, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois. She received her degree in social work shortly after she graduated from the University of Illinois, where she had previously studied.

Susan was a passionate gardener who possessed a vast understanding of plants and the proper care to be given to each and every one of them. When she wasn’t tending to her gorgeous gardens, you could find her in the kitchen whipping up a storm, especially during the holidays. Her dishes were always delicious. Susan and her cherished Black Labs, Casey and Tess, enjoyed spending many hours together at the “dog beach” during the course of their life together. After a long and privileged life, Tess sadly passed away a few days before Susan did. Susan had had a pampered existence.

Susan, who had a strong desire to see the world, decided to embark on a new job as a flight attendant, working at first for Pan Am and then for Delta. She cherished the companionship of her flight attendants and looked forward to her excursions to London, which she regarded as one of her most cherished places. Before retiring after the events of September 11, 2001, Susan frequently traveled with her mother, taking her on wonderful trips across Europe and the Middle East.

When Susan was not adventuring in far-flung lands, she established the interior design business known as Susan Albert Interiors. She had an excellent eye for design and a natural talent for enhancing the aesthetic appeal of interior spaces. Susan Collins tied the knot with John “Fred” Collins in Greenwich, Connecticut, in the year 1991. They had a lovely time together for almost 32 years, spending time traveling, hiking, and boating on Long Island Sound with their friends and family both on land and on the water.
