Sharon Rowland Obituary, Death Cause – Sharon has been working for the MSD Warren Township Schools continuously for the past 22 years of her career. Laughner’s Cafeteria was her previous employer, where she spent 24 years of her life working. She worked both jobs with a great deal of commitment and was eagerly anticipating her retirement from both of them. Both the Post Road Christian Church and the Moose Lodge counted Sharon as a member at one time or another.
She appreciated her role as a greeter at Post Road Christian Church, where she also played bingo, attended dinners, and participated in other activities offered by the lodge. Sharon possessed a compassionate heart and was generous with her giving. To know Sharon is to recognize her infectious smile and laughter, both of which raise the spirit. Sharon cherished life and spending time with her friends and family. In addition to that, she took great pleasure in amusing her great-nieces and -nephews.
Her mother, Marilyn Rowland, and her twin sister, Karen St.Clair (and her husband Charles), her four brothers, Robert Rowland (and his wife Robin), Jeffery Rowland (and his wife Linda), Kenneth Rowland (and his wife Marty), and Stephen Rowland (and his wife Tanya), as well as ten great-nieces and great-nephews, are among her survivors. Her father, Milton Rowland, passed away before his daughter Sharon did.
On Friday, December 16, visitation will be held at Post Road Christian Church from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the service will begin at 1 p.m. Pastor Gary Whorlow will officiate the service. Post Road Christian Church is located at 1112 N. Post Rd. After that, ceremonies will be held at the graveside in the Washington Park East Cemetery. It has been advised that those who wish to make memorial contributions do so to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society; envelopes will be made available at the service.
