Richard Glaser Obituary, Death – Richard Glaser has died. Connie Freeman, his companion, as well as his brother and sister-in-law, Arthur and Carole Glaser, are among the people he leaves behind. Rich was a passionate supporter of the University of Kansas and held a doctorate in biochemistry from that institution. He was a devoted player of crossword puzzles and a regular participant in the New York Times Sunday puzzle.
He was also a fan of a nice martini. Even though the games started at seven in the morning, Rich never missed an opportunity to cheer on his Connecticut grandsons when they played hockey. Even though he complained about it, one of his favorite things to do when he visited Boston was to engage in word games with his grandsons there. Rich was the best there ever was, a genuine original, and a person who will be much missed by all of those who he leaves behind in this world.
Funeral services will be held at the Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home on Friday, March 17 at 3:00 PM. The funeral home is located at 88 Beach Road in Fairfield, Connecticut. The burial will be a private affair. In the immediate aftermath of the funeral, the observance of Shiva will take place at 5 Shorehaven Road in Norwalk.
