Kellie and Sherrie Robinson sent a message on Facebook informing their friends and relatives that their “beloved dad,” Red Robinson, had gone away earlier that morning at 8:15 a.m. following a brief illness. Kellie and Sherrie Robinson were the only surviving children of Red Robinson. The following statement was included in the post: “With tremendous sadness and shattered hearts, we deliver the news that our loving dad, Red Robinson, passed away this morning after a brief illness.”
In the year 1995, Robinson was given the privilege of being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This honor was bestowed upon Robinson. When Robinson finally called it quits in 2017, at the age of 80, after spending 63 years in the broadcasting industry, he had been a recognizable voice on the radio airways in the Greater Vancouver area for more than six decades. Robinson had worked in the broadcasting industry for the majority of his life. He had been doing this for well over 60 years at that point.
