Raymond Sawada Obituary, Death Cause – We are passing on the heartbreaking news of Ray Sawada’s untimely departure with a sense of profound sorrow and heaviness in our hearts. Ray went away on the evening of Monday, April 10, 2023, at the age of 38, while he was engaged in the activity that brought him the most joy. He leaves behind his supporting, committed, and dedicated family and friends.
As well as his loving wife, Nicole, his two young and very amazing children, Victoria (9) and Charlotte ( 6), and his wife and friends. The City of Richmond was Ray’s home throughout his childhood and his adult life. He was a dedicated firefighter for the City of Burnaby and worked long hours. He became a member of the Burnaby Fire Department in 2017 and has since been an indispensable member of the team, during which he has distinguished and honorable service.
Ray shone like a beacon of hope into the hearts and minds of everyone he met. He looked forward to spending time away from home with Nicole, the girls, as well as family and friends. He was a skilled hockey player and a devoted coach for the team that he put together for his daughters. The surrounding community will be missing someone who was fiercely dedicated and motivated in everything that they did, and this hole will be difficult to fill.
The loss of their father and Nicole’s husband is going to leave a devastating mark on the hearts of both the girls and Nicole, and it is going to make for a difficult road ahead. We want to express our sincere gratitude for the outpouring of love and support that we have already received on behalf of the family. We are grateful for every single message and wonderful deed that has been performed.
The affection is palpable to us. It serves as a reassuring reminder to us that there are many people who love and care for the family even as they go through this trying and upsetting period. If you would want to offer Nicole your support while she is grieving during this time, when she is taking unpaid time off from work, it would go a long way toward making the future better for Nicole and the daughters. Since he passed away, many people have shown their love and care to his family and friends, and we would want to thank you in advance for your generosity.
