Mike McCauley Obituary, Death Cause – Because Mike McCauley was such a terrific buddy, I’m telling everyone the sad news about his passing last night with a heavy heart because he was such a good friend. Mike was the model of what it meant to be a true public servant, having served his country in the armed services, as a police officer, as a teacher in public schools, and as a member of the Marietta City Council. He demonstrated what it meant to be the epitome of a true public servant.
He committed every moment of his life to helping other people and to making Marietta, Georgia, the city in which he was born and which was the source of his tremendous pride, a better place. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of his loved ones, including his wife Jane and son Mike, as well as the rest of his family and friends. We are so sorry for your loss. We are going to miss having him here with us. Mike McCauley’s father, Mike McCauley, as well as his maternal grandparents, Elwin and Elinore Simpson, as well as his paternal grandparents, Jack and Betty McCauley, as well as his step-maternal grandmother, Margaret Stone, and his aunts, Charlene Williams and Cherie McCauley, all passed away before Mike did.
