She treasured the time she got to spend with her family, particularly her brother and sisters, because they provided her with a lot of opportunities to have fun and laugh. Splashing around with her niece in the pool, or playing board games with her family, she was always having a good time. She delighted in the company of her niece Leilani in particular. activities such as visiting to the zoo or a museum and playing games. Maya cherished all kinds of furry friends, but her particular favorites were the three canine members of her family.

Because of this, she was able to go to the Hockey Hall of Fame, which had been a goal of hers for her entire life. Maya was also a fantastic player when it came to softball. At the age of eight, she signed up to participate in the Greendale Twinite League. She discovered a love for pitching, which she pursued while playing softball in the Select League with the Franklin Force, Greenfield Ignitors, and Wisconsin Twisters up to the time that she graduated from high school.
Maya possessed a secretive creative side in addition to her athletic ability, her passion for animals, and her appreciation for the great outdoors. These skills shone through when she and her sisters would get ready for a night out, and she would glam up their hairstyles and cosmetics in preparation for going out. She also enjoyed adding sassy effects to digital images and sharing them on Facebook as a fun recreational activity.
