Maddalena Bruno Obituary, Death Cause – After a brief struggle with pancreatic cancer, Maddalena Maria Bruno (Green), also known as “Layna” to many of her family members and friends, passed away on April 5th, 2023. She was 59 years old. She was fortunate to spend her final moments in the comfort of her own home with the man she had dedicated her life to by her side, her husband Victor A. Bruno, Jr.

They relocated to Baker City, Oregon, and it was there that she gave birth to their two daughters, Linea and Trina, in 1988 and 1990, respectively. Maddalena was an outstanding mother who poured her whole heart into caring for her family. She loved them dearly. She returned to the workforce a few years following the birth of her children, with the job she held at the Pill Box being the one that lasted the longest and provided the greatest professional and personal satisfaction, followed by her work at the Eastern Oregon Medical Association.

Victor always stated that the first thing he noticed about her was that she had a minor limp, which was the result of an accident in the past, and that this caused her hips to swing in a way that appealed to him. Victor had an instant realization that he was going to propose to her after their first date, which consisted of a strenuous walk followed by a lunch. After only a few weeks of dating, Maddalena wed Victor on May 16, 1987 in Salem, Oregon. The couple had only been seeing each other for a short time.

Chiara Dazio and George Green welcomed their daughter Maddalena into the world on July 7th, 1963 in Portland, Oregon. Her high school diploma was awarded to her in 1981, and her degree from Oregon State University was conferred upon her in 1986. When Maddalena moved to Salem, Oregon for employment, she ended up meeting her future husband, Victor Bruno, while they were both standing in front of a church.
