Lennon Roberts Obituary, Death Cause – The passing of Lennon Roberts occurred on February 18th, 2023 in the city of Reno, Nevada. On November 3, 1935, he was brought into the world by his parents, Georgia Josephine Shi Roberts and Jack Mooney Roberts, in the city of Downey, California. In August of 1937, Mack was given a younger sibling by the name of George. After moving with his family to Yucaipa, California, Mack received training in the cultivation of hogs and cattle as well as the harvesting of apples and peaches.
After completing his high school education at Redlands High School, he attended California State Polytechnic College in Pomona, California, to study landscape architecture. It was during this time that he became acquainted with Lois Lennon, who was a resident of Covina, California. The two of them tied the knot on February 2nd, 1957. After completing his studies at Cal Poly Pomona, Mack went on to work as a landscape architect in San Diego.
He began his career with the San Diego School District and later went on to work with Wimmer and Yamada, Landscape Architects. In addition to that, Mack was a lawyer at Drayton, Inc. in Covina, as well as at Linesch and Reynolds in Costa Mesa and Long Beach. In 1968, he started working as a professor at Cal Poly Pomona. In 1970, Mack and his family relocated to Ames, Iowa, so that Mack could teach full-time at Iowa State University while simultaneously pursuing a master’s degree in landscape architecture. Mack had been teaching with a bachelor’s degree at the time of the transfer. After graduating with his degree in 1972, he remained a professor at ISU for the next 20 years, up until 1985. After that, he relocated to Washington State University in Pullman, where he taught from 1985 until his retirement in 2001. He moved there because he missed the mountains and trout that he had fished for.
