Larry Cottam Obituary, Ontario, Retired Kenora Fire Captain, Has Died

Larry Cottam Obituary, Death Cause – The flags of the City of Kenora are being flown at a height of half-staff in memory of retired Kenora Fire Captain Larry Cottam, who passed away on April 3, 2023. Larry Cottam passed away on April 3, 2023. The death of Captain Cottam occurred on April 3rd, 2023. The 3rd of April, 2023 was the day that Larry Cottam left this world.

In recognition of the fact that flags will be displayed, this will be done as a show of respect. In 2019, Larry came to the conclusion that it was time for him to hang up his work boots. We are keeping Larry’s family and the members of our fire department in our thoughts and prayers as they mourn the loss of their loved one. Members of our fire department attended Larry’s service and were present when he passed away.

The fact that the death of Larry has been deemed a “Death in the Line of Duty” lends credence to the notion that the occurrence is covered under presumption legislation in the province. This section of legislation covers deaths that occur while an individual is performing their job duties. During the time that the flags are on display, they will be flown at a height of half-staff in recognition of Larry’s 34 years of service with the Kenora Fire and Emergency Services.

Captain Cottam, we hope you get some rest. My sincere condolences go out to his family and friends, as well as the members of the fire department who were more like family to him. We are truly sorry for your loss. We are deeply sorry for the loss you have suffered. We just wanted to let you know, Brother Fire Fighter, that I had a great time with you both at union events and when we got the chance to spend time together eating and drinking. We just wanted to let you know that I had a great time with you both. We just wanted to let you know how much we appreciated the time we spent together.
