Jay Miles Obituary, Death Cause – During this trying time, the family of FF/EMT Jay Miles, as well as his extended family at Upper Perkiomen Valley Ambulance and Pennsburg Fire Company, are in our thoughts and prayers. We are also thinking of and praying for the members of Jay’s extended family. On behalf of the Officers and Members of MTVFC, please accept our sincerest condolences for your loss. We are truly sorry for the loss you have suffered.
He would frequently comfort them at the scene of catastrophic occurrences in order to assist bereaved families in overcoming their grief and anguish and to help them move on with their lives. Jay was a good and compassionate person who was prepared to go to any lengths to assist people or simply be a friend to talk to. This trait of his will be remembered about him for the rest of time. This quality will be passed along through his legacy. You are not going to be overlooked at any point in time.
On March 13, 2023, despite the fact that Jay was an active member of both groups, he became ill when he was helping to respond to a medical emergency. He passed away the next day. This took place in spite of the fact that he was a participant in both of these organizations. On the morning of April 1, 2023, he took his last breath and left this world. His passing occurred at that time. Jay was a member of the Critical Incident Stress Management team for Montgomery County in addition to serving as the Chaplain for the Pennsburg Fire Company.
We pray that you are able to find some serenity very soon. On Sunday, our department sent its sympathies and support to the members of the Pennsburg Fire Company. We were there for them while they grieved and made plans for a memorial service to commemorate Jay. Our thoughts and support were conveyed to the members of the Pennsburg Fire Company. The family of Jay has decided that they would like to keep the services private in order to respect their wishes.
