Jason Richards Obituary, Death Cause – We are left with a profound sense of loss as a result of the demise of Rev. Jason Richards (MDiv 2016), a former student at St. Andrew’s who was also a friend to many people in the local community. We want you to know that this news has left us in a state of profound distress, and that we are truly sorry for the loss that you have suffered. You are receiving this information because we want you to be as devastated as we are about the situation as a whole.
We will have the opportunity to make a selection from the countless images that were taken of Jason both during his time as a student at the College and during his continued participation with the College after he had graduated. This will be one of the components of our celebration of Jason’s life and will be one of the ways in which we will honour his memory. These pictures cover the entirety of his time spent at the College, from the moment he enrolled there until far after he graduated with his degree. You will have access to these photographs as a manner of paying honour to his memory by making them available to you.
The College would like to express its deepest condolences and deepest concerns to Jason’s partner Young Seo (MTS 2021), their son Lincoln, Jason’s parents Bruce and Marg, his sister, and all others who were close to Jason, including Jason’s and Young’s contemporaries at the University. Our thoughts are with you all during this difficult time. People that had a close relationship with Jason are also featured in this category of people.
This particular moment of Jason during the graduation ceremony conveys a lot of what we remember and treasure about Jason, particularly his excitement, his sense of humour, and his love for his family and friends. In particular, we remember and treasure Jason’s sense of humour. We are grateful that we were able to be present for this moment since it embodies a lot of what we remember and cherish about Jason. We are delighted that we were able to witness this event. I have high hopes that you, Jason, will one day be able to find the peace and quiet that you have been looking for.
