Jade Cooper Obituary, Death Cause – On Easter Sunday, April 1, 2019, Jade Cooper passed away peacefully in the arms of her devoted husband, Ben Cooper, and surrounded by her family. Her family is heartbroken to communicate this news to the community. At the age of six months, Jade was given a diagnosis of cystic fibrosis. Since then, she has fought this beast with every fiber of her being for the past 29 years.
She received two double-lung transplants and attacked life with passion and excitement, giving it everything she had. This led to her becoming a successful receiver of both sets of lungs. Everyone who came into contact with her was profoundly and positively affected by her presence. She was a force to be reckoned with in addition to being motivational, tenacious, and talented in a wide variety of ways. The body of Jade has recently become a member of the teaching staff at Dalhousie Medical School.
The family is thankful to the wonderful group of medical professionals who cared for her throughout the years in Fredericton, Saint John, and at Toronto General Hospital. They are also appreciative of the various gifts that have been received to assist with the costs of her medical treatment over the past few years. Her mother, Elisabeth “Beth” Fellows, passed away in 2012, leaving Jade without a mother.
Her father Clint Tripp (Melissa), her sisters Holli Rigden (Jim) and Samm Mayberry (Ben); her brothers Reid (Madison) Tripp and Jasper Tripp; her grandparents Robert and Margaret Fellows, Jim and Kathy Tripp, and Ardith Kinney; her nieces Kailie and Ashley Rigden as well as a large number of aunts, uncles, and cousins survive her. Also surviving are the step-siblings Clark (Tara), Elizabeth (Patrick), Theresa (Scott), and Bradford Richards, as well as the nieces and nephews CiarĂ¡n and Niamh O’Connell-Cooper, Zoey and Blake Cooper, Juniper, Linden and Hazel, Sylvia and Winnie Richards.
