When Gordy joined up to be a volunteer with the Sea Breeze Fire District more than sixty years ago, he was given the opportunity to begin his career in the fire service. Since that time, Gordy has held several positions within the fire department.

It was in large part due to the efforts that he put forth that we were finally able to acquire our ambulance, and he was one of the first people to join our first aid team when we initially began out. In the year 2020, Gordy was presented with the title of Honorary Chief as a way of recognizing all of the beneficial contributions that he had given to the community over the course of his life.
The Sea Breeze Firefighters Association is taken into consideration, and the firefighters in that organization will also be prayed for as part of this endeavor.
