Evelyn Hood Obituary, Death Cause – We are sorry to inform you that Soror Evelyn Hawkins Hood, the 14th International Grand Basileus of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., has gone away. It is with great regret that we share this news with you. In your thoughts and prayers, please remember to keep Past Grand Hood’s family and dear Sorors in your thoughts and in your hearts. As soon as we obtain more information on her final arrangements, we are looking forward to having a celebration of her life, honoring her accomplishments, and recognizing the contributions she made to Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.

Freeman’s and McCune Brooks are both good choices. Between the years 1944 and 1946, she served as a nurse in the Army Hospital, where she had begun her professional career. In addition to that, she was a part of the Purcell Baptist Church. The wedding took place on September 22, 1946, between Earlene and Ray Cawyer. On the first of January in 1962, he passed away before she did. Later, on June 22, 1967, in Neck City, Missouri, she tied the knot with Alva H. Hood. He will live on.

Driskill and her husband Mickey, of Moore, Oklahoma; and Sandy I. Walker and her husband Charlie, of Panama City, Florida; one brother On Saturday, April 25, 2009, at 2:00 p.m., there will be ceremonies held at the graveside in the Carl Junction Cemetery.
