Erick Jara Obituary, Death Cause – The individual who was shot and killed by Grand Junction Police on Saturday has been named as Erick Jara, who was 27 years old. This information was provided by the Mesa County Coroner’s Office. Jara was a local of Grand Junction all her life. The Grand Junction Police Department received a call on Saturday evening to the 1600 block of Walnut Avenue in response to a report of an assault that was taking on in the area. According to the police, this is the location where someone fired a gun.

According to the conclusions of the Coroner’s Office, Jara was taken to the hospital, where he was subsequently declared dead after they received the news that he had passed away. Jara suffered multiple gunshot wounds, which led to his death, as determined by the conclusions of the investigation conducted by the coroner. The names of the policemen that responded to the incident on behalf of the Grand Junction Police Department have not been made public as of yet.
