Ellen Finkelstein Obituary, Death Cause – It’s possible that my expectations were unrealistically high in this regard; yet, it seemed that we had great hopes that she would use her most recent failure as material for another stand-up routine about her troubles. But, it appears that my expectations will not be satisfied. We are thankful to have had the opportunity to spend time with her on as many different occasions as we have, and for each and every one of those opportunities, we are appreciative. We are saddened to learn of Ken Finkelstein’s demise, but we are pleased that we were able to participate in your joy up until this point, before he went away. While we are saddened to hear of his passing, we are grateful that we were able to do so.
We despise those who use war metaphors to describe cancer because it gives the impression that people who pass away from the disease had a moral defect; We are aware that Ellen tried everything in her power to avoid dying. Those who use war metaphors to describe cancer give the impression that people who pass away from the disease had a moral defect. People who compare cancer to a war create the notion that those who pass away from the disease have some sort of flaw in their character. Those who liken cancer to a war perpetuate the myth that people whose lives are cut short by the disease have some type of moral deficiency that contributed to their demise.
Ellen Dubyn Finkelstein and we were taken. We are looking back on times gone by and having a wonderful time in this image. She was one of my closest friends when we were in high school, and we often chatted about our trips and exchanged secrets with one another. I will never forget those years. Because of our involvement in BBYO, we were able to find our people, and this relationship is a wonderful indication of what we mean when we say that we found our people as a result of our involvement.
