Diane Cardwell Rhoades, who was 55 years old and from Cummings, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at the residence of her brother. She was the daughter of John Cardwell of Brookhaven and Mary Goodman Cardwell of Chester, Pennsylvania. She was born in Chester. The year 1969 marked Diane’s graduation from Sun Valley High School in Aston. She held the position of accountant at Amrex, Inc. in the city of Atlanta, Georgia.

Diane was a passionate photographer and admirer of the natural world. She loves going on adventures, going trekking, and being around animals. She was a member of a number of photography societies, as well as clubs for animal rights and rescue. Her parents, one brother named John “Jake” Cardwell of Southern Chester County, Pennsylvania, and one nephew named John “Jake” Cardwell, III are the only people who will remember her.

On Saturday, December 23, at 10 a.m., a memorial service was conducted at the Edward L. Collins Funeral Home, Inc. located at 86 Pine Street in Oxford. Friends and family were able to pay their respects from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to the funeral. The burial will be a private affair.
