The pursuit of one of the riders, who was continuing to drive “in a reckless manner” into Cobb County, was initiated by the troopers. The Georgia State Patrol has stated that the motorcyclist was approaching the intersection at a high rate of speed when he collided with a Honda Accord that was making a left turn. The male driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The driver of the Honda was transported to the hospital with injuries that were considered to be life-threatening.
