Mrs. Roberta Rice, who was the Mid Down Convenor and the wife of our Honorary Secretary Artie, has passed away, and we have to break the news to you with a heavy heart and a sense of disbelief. We regret to inform you that Mrs. Roberta Rice, who was the Mid Down Convenor and the wife of our Honorary Secretary Artie, has passed away. It is with great sadness that we share this news with you. With the demise of Artie’s father, the Executive Committee of the International Indoor Bowling Association (IIBA) and the bowling community all over the world would like to extend their deepest condolences to Artie and his entire family circle.
Artie’s father was a longtime member of the IIBA. They will be remembered to us in prayer, and we will keep them in our thoughts when we do so as well. The mere fact that I am aware of this has completely devasted me. The bowls club was filled with people who thought highly of Roberta since she was such a wonderful and cheerful person. Everyone is going to miss her tremendously. During this terrible time, please accept my deepest condolences on behalf of Artie and every member of his family.
