Marvin Knox Obituary, Former Beaufort Police Chief Has Sadly Passed Away

Marvin Knox Obituary, Death Cause – It is with the deepest regret that we must inform you of the demise of Marvin Knox, who had previously served as the head of police in Beaufort. Marvin Knox had served in that capacity for many years. His unwavering commitment to the growth and development of the community will be dearly missed. Because of his passing, each of our hearts now contains a hole that can never be patched up to its previous level of contentment.

Before transferring into his present post as Chief of Police for the Beaufort Police Department, Chief Knox spent a considerable portion of his life serving in the United States Marine Corps. During that time, he achieved a great deal of success in that organization. During that span of time, he collected a great deal of success and received a lot of notice for his efforts. He began his career with the Boston Police Department in 1969 and remained there until 1999, the entire time serving as a police officer.

1999 was the year that marked his final year of military service. As a direct result of the events that took place, he was promoted to the position of Chief of Police and served in that capacity for a total of sixteen years (1973-1989). After then, he transitioned into a supporting position, and up until the year 2011, he continued to serve in a variety of vocations. Because he was a respected and well-liked resident of the Beaufort community.

Those who lived there and had the good fortune to know him will experience a profound sense of loss upon learning of his passing. This is due to the fact that he was a member of the community who was held in high regard by his fellow residents. The previous Chief of Police, Paul Burdette, has stated that the person in question has kept up “a profound relationship” with the police and the agency despite the fact that he is no longer employed there.

Burdette was the Chief of Police before the individual in question. After the individual in question had retired, a statement to this effect was made. Since I started working for this company in 2015, he has been making frequent trips to the office in order to have a variety of conversations with the other members of the staff and talk with various folks. We will be able to carry on his job after he has passed away thanks to the recollections we have of him.
