Kathy Desmond Obituary, Death Cause – Kathy is survived by her loving spouse of 10 years Michael Desmond, son Alexander (Madeline) Johnson, daughter Kyla (Roman Carney) Johnson-Carney, sister Kristi (Dan) De Legge, nephews Jon and Andrew (Angela) Healy, nieces Samantha (Hassan Stevenson) De Legge-Stevenson, and Gina De Legge, stepdaughter Clare (Aaron) DeMichael, grandchildren Elizabeth and Genevieve, and great nephews and nieces Owen.
Finley, Lulu, Rocco, Camden and Paityn. Before Kathy herself passed away, both of her parents, her first husband Harry Johnson, and her brother Jon Kanzer had already left this world. After graduating from Proviso West High School in Hillside, Illinois in 1973, Kathy attended Triton College, where she earned an Associate of Science degree, and George Williams College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Both schools are located in Pennsylvania. After that, she pursued further education and eventually graduated from George Williams College with a Master of Arts degree. More than 30 years of her professional life were spent working in the field of learning and development before she finally decided to call it quits in 2013. Frequent acts of volunteering were performed by her.
Working with the younger youngsters in the early reading program at Prairie Elementary School in Naperville, Illinois, was very delightful for Kathy. The school is located in the state of Illinois. In addition, she volunteered with groups such as Heart Haven OutReach in Bolingbrook, Illinois, which helps troubled teens, and Kare Bears in the Pebblecreek neighborhood of Goodyear, Arizona.
Both of these organizations are located in the United States. Kathy was a member of the Women’s Club in Jacksonport, Wisconsin, as well as the Women’s Club in Bolingbrook, Illinois, at one time or another. Researching her family tree was something that Kathy was always interested in doing, and this aspect of her life will be fondly remembered by everyone who knew and loved her.
