Craig McCalister Obituary, Death Cause – The passing of our brother, an outstanding friend, and a co-founder of the organization known as V.E.T.S., Craig McCalister, is something that we are forced to announce with a great deal of regret and a very sad heart. Unexpectedly, Craig died away on Saturday night in the comfort of his own home. His passing will be felt by a great number of people in the area.
Since 2014, when he approached the current board President, Thor Torgersen, and Treasurer, Christina Clark. to start the therapeutic program directed at helping veterans navigate issues like PTS and Combat Trauma and attempt to reduce the number of veteran suicides, Veterans Equine Therapeutic Services has been Craig’s passion. Early in 2015 saw the inception of both the VETS program and the 501(c)3 organization.
He found his genuine purpose in life in serving other people. It was Craig’s dream that VETS would continue to flourish and expand as a component of a broader plan and that the organization would keep on waging this war; accordingly, we want to accomplish exactly that as a family, all together. During this time of loss and suffering, we want you to know that you can count on us to be here for you.
