Barry Whelan was found unconscious and lying on the ground on Winter Street in the city of Boston on the evening of Friday, March 17 by officers from the Boston Police Department. After he had been admitted to the facility for a week, the medical staff decided to discontinue providing artificial life support to the 46-year-old man from Woburn, Massachusetts who had been taken there.
The findings of the medical examiner’s office revealed, as reported by the police, that Whelan was killed by blunt-force trauma in what the police have determined to be a case of murder.
